U08: Hernia Treating Belt

Hernia for children is often due to inborn poor endowment. Most cases could be self-cured by the post-natal good nourishment. For old people, cough, asthma, ascites, constipation, etc., these factors could cause high abdominal pressure, hence prolapse of the small intestines could be caused. This hernia treating belt is based upon the theories of Chinese medicine which emphasize treating the internal disease from the outside.

Suitability:

This product is composed of hernia bags, waist belt and tightening belt. This product is suitable for various  hernias for adults and kids.

Applying Method:

For adults, thirty days make a treatment course. For kids, twenty days make a treatment course. In a common condition, three treatment courses (three months) are required.

Manipulating Steps:

1. Putting on the waist belt and the tightening belt according to the picture instruction which is included in this product packet.

2. Letting the patient lie flat, push the prolapsing intestines back to its normal position with your hands in a gentle way. Put the hernia bag on the location of the prolapsing intestines.

3. Let the bet passing the groins naturally without pressing the scrotum. Try to connect and tighten all the parts in a comfortable way. The belt should not be too tight or too loose. The required state is that when the patient stands upright, the prolapsed will not happen.

Precaution:

1. The patient should make self-check daily about the belts, making sure that the local skin is free from lesion. Especially, you should check your kid when he or she puts on this product.

2. For the adult patient with single side prolapse, the hernia bag should be changed every 15 days. For the children with single side prolapse, the hernia bag should be changed every 10 days. 

3. Often check the hernia bag and the hernia prolapsing ring to see if the touch is close. Make sure that the intestines will not drop below the hernia prolapsing opening to play a complete treatment role.

4. Putting on the hernia belt all day long, 24 hours everyday. At night, on the bed, the belt should be loosened properly. Anyway, you should make sure no prolapse is happening after you putting on the hernia treatment belt.

5. During treatment period, avoid hard physical work, exercise, etc, that might increase the abdominal pressure. It is not suitable to take foods which could cause constipation and abdominal distention. If the patient is suffering from the following conditions, in which the abdominal pressure increases such as cough, asthma, ascites, enlarged prostate, etc., please cure these conditions timely before this product is applied.

Precaution:

It is forbidden to tighten the belt before the prolapsing intestines are well pushed back to the normal positions. If the prolapse intestines are pressed under some special conditions, please put the intestines back to the normal position immediately.

Administration:

To be taken orally, for adults, it is a small sachet (five grams) each time, three times a day. For children from one to four years old, one fourth of a small sachet each time, three times a day. For children from four to six years old, one third of a small sachet each time, three times a day. For children from six to nine years old, half of a small sachet each time, three times a day. For kids from nine to fourteen years old, two thirds of a small sachet each time, three times a day.
