Successful TCM Treatment Case

Boby Imbalance

Mao Shide, a male, 66 years old.

August 4, 2005.

The body shakes slightly left and right when walking or sitting during the recent ten years. He couldn't stand up over ten minutes. Palpitations when standing a long time. No dizziness in common times but the serious dizziness appears on occasion, once or twice a day.

No headache. Hair loss and grayish hair. Dry eyes. Tinnitus. Ear blocked. No nasal congestion. Thirst and like hot drinks. Discomfort of the abdomen when drinking cold water. The throat is normal. Compared with last year, there is good improvement of the chest oppression and palpitations. No shortness of breath when going upstairs. The stool is either sloppy or constipated. The bowel movements are three times a day or once every three days.

No cough and phlegm. No abdominal distention. The appetite and spirit are fine. He sleeps six hours a day. Dreaminess. The urine is normal. Night urination is only once. No pains on the back. Painful lumbar vertebra. Kidney stone. No soft legs. No hot sense in the palms and soles in the afternoon. No night sweating.

He does not feel aversion to coldness in winter, but aversion to heat in summer.

He previously suffered from problem of the vertebra, hardening of cerebral arteries and coronary heart disease. Arrhythmia. The blood pressure and blood sugar are normal. Slightly increase of the blood platelet.

No bleeding under the skin. No edema. Replete and a bit slippery right pulse. Replete left pulse. Red tongue body. The tongue coating is yellowish and greasy. Slightly dry tongue body.

Good improvement of the ear-block. The stool is in a good shape. The condition of dizziness and body shaking is the same as before. No discomfort when having the herbal tea. Dryness of the tongue has been improved.

Great improvement of the ear-block and spirit. He also feels good improvement of dizziness when standing up a long time. A little bit worsening of the blurred vision. Slight thirst. The stool is in a good shape. The urine is yellowish. No abdominal distention. No swelling of the lower limbs. The night urination is only once.

Slightly replete right pulse. Thready and feeble pulse. Red tongue body. The tongue coating is yellowish and greasy. Slightly dry tongue.

During these 20 days treatment, the dizziness appears once every two days in average and 3-4 seconds each time. However, before the treatment, his dizziness occurred once to twice each day. The patient feels severe dizzy and as if falling down in a sudden way with nausea and palpitations. There is an improvement of shaking from side to side when he walks. The stability is improved 20%, and the whole body is not so heavy as before.

The stool is in a good shape. There are hemorrhoids which is influenced by constipation. Slightly clearer eyesight. No thirst. The urine is not yellowish. No night urination. No stomach discomfort when taking the herbal tea. He does not feel such aversion to the coldness now.

Moderate right pulse. The left pulse is not thready and feeble now. Red tongue body. The tongue coating is yellowish and greasy. The tongue body is slightly dry.

He has had 42 dosages of herbal tea. The condition of sudden faint hasn't happened for 20 days or so. The body shaking from side to side is improved 50%. The urine is yellowish. Drink a little bit more. The stool is in a normal shape. He dose not feel aversion to coldness. No excessive internal heat. Good appetite. Slightly blurred vision. The blood pressure is 70/140 mmHg.

Slightly replete right pulse. Replete and slightly string-like left pulse. Red tongue body. The tongue coating is yellowish and greasy. Advice the patient to take care of food and proper exercise.
