Drugs for dispelling wind and fire     

 

 

niuhuang shangqing wan (cow-bezoar bolus for clearing away heat of the upper part of the body) clearing away heat and purging pathogenic fire, dispelling wind and relieving pain. the syndromes of excessive fire in the middle and upper parts of the human body or the attack of pathogenic wind and heat on the upper part of the body marked by headache, vertigo, conjunctival congestion, tinnitus, swelling and sore throat, ulcerations of the mouth and tongue, swelling and soreness of the gums, constipation and dry stool.
longdan xiegan wan (bolus of gentian for purging liver-fire) clearing away pathogenic fire in the liver and gallbladder ,removing dampness and heat. fire of excess type or dampness-heat in the liver and gallbladder manifested as dizziness, conjunctival congestion, otalgia, tinnitus, hypochondriac pain, bitter taste, dark urine, difficulty and pain in micturition.
huanglian shangqing wan (coptis bolus for clearing the upper heat) dispersing pathogenic wind, relieving pain, clearing away heat and loosening the bowels. the attack of wind-heat on the upper and middle parts of the human body, manifested as dizziness, headache, conjunctival congestion and swelling ,toothache, aphthae, constipation, scanty dark urine.
shangqing wan (bolus for clearing away heat of the upper part of the body) expelling wind and heat, purging pathogenic fire and relaxing the bowels. the attack of pathogenic wind-heat on the upper and middle parts of the body marked by dizziness, tinnitus, dry nose and eyes, oral ulceration, swelling and pain in the gums, an d constipation.
